Overview
Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or share your personal information. SleepLedger is designed with privacy as a core principle. The only outbound network request the app ever makes is the optional in-app contact form, described below.
Data We Access
SleepLedger reads the following data from Apple Health with your explicit permission:
- ·Sleep analysis data (duration, stages, in-bed time)
- ·Heart rate data (overnight average)
- ·Heart rate variability / HRV (overnight average)
This data is read from Apple Health and processed entirely on your device. SleepLedger does not write any data to Apple Health.
Data Storage
Your sleep records, naps, manual entries, morning check-ins (1–5 ratings, time to fall asleep, night wakings, factor tags, and any note you write), calculated statistics, and user settings are stored locally on your device. None of this is sent to any server or cloud service. The CSV export is created on your device and goes only where you choose to share it.

- ✗Analytics or usage tracking

- ✗Advertising identifiers
Third-Party Services
SleepLedger integrates with the following services:
- ·Apple HealthKit — to read sleep and health data
- ·App Store / StoreKit — to process in-app purchases
- ·Apple Foundation Models — on iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence, the morning insight is generated on-device; nothing is sent to Apple or anyone else
- ·Contact form endpoint (Cloudflare Workers) — used only when you submit feedback from Settings → Contact
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.
In-App Contact Form (Optional)
If you choose to send feedback from Settings → Contact, the app sends your message together with the diagnostics shown on the form before you tap Send:
- ·App version, iOS version, and device model
- ·Whether the last Apple Health fetch succeeded and how many records it returned
- ·Premium status and purchased product IDs, your sleep-need setting, and whether your wake time is the same every day
Your sleep, heart rate, HRV, and check-in data are never included. Nothing is sent unless you submit the form.
In-App Purchases
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or any financial data.
Children's Privacy
SleepLedger does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children. The app complies with applicable children's privacy regulations.
Data Security
Your data is protected by iOS built-in encryption and the secure storage mechanisms provided by the operating system. Since your sleep and health data never leave your device, there is no server-side copy of them to breach.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- ✓Revoke Apple Health access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health
- ✓Reset all app data from SleepLedger's Settings screen
- ✓Uninstall the app to permanently delete all stored data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
